The examination board in Ethiopia plays a crucial role in the educational system of the country. It is responsible for conducting national examinations, setting standards, and ensuring the quality of education in schools. The examination board in Ethiopia is known as the National Educational Assessment and Examination Agency (NEAEA).

NEAEA was established in 2011 with the aim of promoting quality education and ensuring that students are adequately prepared for higher education and the workforce. The agency is tasked with developing examination guidelines, designing test papers, and administering national exams for primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of education.

One of the primary functions of NEAEA is to conduct the Ethiopian National Examinations, including the Grade 10 General School Leaving Certificate Examination (EGSLCE) and the Grade 12 University Entrance Examination (UEE). These exams are administered to evaluate the academic performance of students and determine their readiness for higher education or vocational training.
